A Week in the Woods; July 12 - 16, 2010
“A Week in the Woods” is a multigenerational exploration of the creative process in a techno-free forest environment. Students will discover the unique offerings from each of several forest types. From such offerings we will craft functional and artistic objects using simple hand tools and our own ingenuity. There will be a staff of talented naturalists, artisans and craftsmen to guide this process.
The location for Week in the woods is a relatively isolated upland forest 20 minutes outside of Fairbanks with no facilities or power. The camp is about ¼ mile off a dirt logging road.
